Strata have partnered with a growing consultancy and we’re looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join their Sheffield team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking consultancy known for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the region.
The role
You’ll work as part of a collaborative design team on a wide range of civil engineering projects. From site-development infrastructure to drainage strategies and earthworks design, you’ll play a key role in shaping projects from concept through to completion.
What you will be doing:
* Producing designs for highways, drainage, external worksand general civil infrastructure
* Preparing drawings, calculationsand technical reports
* Liaising with clients, architectsand other engineering disciplines
* Supporting planning applications with design input and technical documentation
* Contributing to project meetings and providing on-site technical support where required
* Ensuring designs comply with current UK standards, legislationand best practice
About you
* Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent)
* Working toward CEng or IEng status (ICE) – or keen to progress
* Experience using software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, or similar
* Strong understanding of UK regulations, SuDS, and adoptable standards
* A proactive mindset with great communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively within a team
