What are we looking for?
Key Requirements
* Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Social Sciences, or related field. Professional HR or Training Certification (e.g., CIPD Level 3+, ATD) is desirable.
* Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in HR training, learning & development, or compliance training, preferably within the nonprofit or charity sector. Experience with diverse audiences, including volunteers and remote teams. Knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR, and fundraising regulations is a plus.
* Skills & Competencies: Strong facilitation and presentation skills, excellent communication, ability to simplify complex policies, organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, e-learning platforms, and digital tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Completion rates of mandatory policy training among employees, volunteers, and trustees.
* Training feedback scores and engagement levels.
* Improvement in policy compliance and reduction in breaches.
* Timeliness and accessibility of policy training updates.
What will you be doing?
The HR Training Officer will collaborate with the HR Policy team to design and deliver engaging training on policies like safeguarding, ethical fundraising, data protection, and workplace conduct. Responsibilities include developing quizzes, assessing training effectiveness, and supporting compliance.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and delivering training sessions tailored to various audiences.
* Creating engaging training materials, including videos and presentations.
* Tracking training completion and compliance.
* Monitoring and updating training content to reflect current legal requirements.
* Collaborating with recruitment and department leads to integrate training into onboarding and ongoing learning.
* Sourcing funded training opportunities for staff, volunteers, and trustees.
