Job overview

We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Medical Deployment Officer to join our dedicated team.

In this vital administrative role, you’ll support the Senior Medical Deployment Officers by helping to coordinate the day-to-day medical staffing arrangements that ensure safe and effective patient care.

Main duties of the job

This is a busy and varied role where you will be responsible for:

1. Coordinating cover for vacant shifts using internal Bank or external agency doctors

2. Maintaining accurate records in the Trust’s eRostering and Bank Management systems

3. Monitoring leave (annual, study, sick) and ensuring appropriate medical cover is in place

4. Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical teams, agencies, and internal departments

5. Supporting efforts to reduce external agency use through effective internal locum management

This role is key to ensuring that our medical services run efficiently, and patients receive the care they need without disruption.

13. GCSE’s. English and Maths at C or above – or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience

14. Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
15. Previous administration experience.
