Your newpany
An established and highly regarded financial services organisation, based in Grimsby, are looking to recruit an experienced financial manager on a permanent basis. The business is part of a wider group and is recognised for its strongernance, long-term stability and specialist expertise in finance solutions.

Your new role
A newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ideally qualified individual to join the finance team based in Grimsby.
Reporting into the senior leadership team, this is a key role responsible for leading the finance and treasury functions, delivering high-quality financial insight.
You will play a critical role in supporting senior stakeholders withmercial analysis, strategic decision-making and financialernance.

Key responsibilities will include:
1. Prepare and review statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and UK‑adopted international accounting standards
2. Maintain full balance sheet integrity, includingplex reconciliations and judgement‑based areas
3. Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure robust documentation of treatments
4. Review outputs produced by the Finance Team, ensuring accuracy andpliance with internal policies
5. Drive improvements in finance systems, reporting processes and data quality
6. Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing all audit interactions
7. Lead audit planning, fieldwork coordination and delivery of required schedules
8. Prepare supporting documentation and respond to technical audit queries
9. Implement audit rmendations and strengthen internal controls where needed
10. Support the preparation and review of corporation tax returns, VAT submissions, and other statutory filings
11. Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies
12. Ensure all tax reporting ispleted accurately and on time, maintaining fullpliance with HMRC and internalernance standards
What you’ll need to succeed
13. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or Part Qualified or QBE
14. Proven experience in a senior finance role and strong IFRS knowledge, IFRS9 in particular
15. Exposure to the financial services sector either working in practice or in industry
16. Advanced Excel capability and confidence using Microsoft Office tools
17. Experience working with finance systems, reporting tools and consolidation software
18. High levels of accuracy, professionalism and stakeholder engagement
