Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis HMS Collingwood, Portsmouth.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you’ll be doing
Deliver electrical and electronic principles training to Royal Navy Officers and Ratings across Phase 2 and 3 career courses within the WE department. Be accountable to the Training Delivery Team Leader for safe, high-quality, consistent and best-practice training delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues across the Engineering training area. Use performance data (including InVal, ExVal and third-party insight) to drive continuous improvement across RN Engineering training. Establish and embed consistent, harmonised systems, processes and approaches to training delivery across all RN locations. Support modernised training, cultural change and personalised learner journeys, working collaboratively with Learning & Development and Training Delivery teams.
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Qualification in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline) or have a good understanding of basic electronic/electrical principles (circuit boards).
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent (will be enrolled onto internal training course if not held).
* Military engineering systems maintenance or equivalent experience.
* Understanding RN, Engineering departmental workings or equivalent experience.
* Understanding of Engineering section maintenance procedures.
