Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Media Payables Specialist with hands-on experience in MediaOcean to manage and reconcile media vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate financial records. This role is critical in supporting our media buying operations and ensuring compliance with internal controls and client requirements.
This is a 12 month FTC.
Location: Three days in Kent office, Kings Hill, two days remote from home.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Invoice Management: Process, validate, and reconcile media vendor invoices within MediaOcean, ensuring accuracy against buy orders and contracts.
* Payment Processing: Schedule and execute payments to media vendors in line with agreed terms.
* Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, liaising with internal teams and external vendors.
* Reporting: Generate and maintain payables reports, aged creditor analysis, and assist with month-end close.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
* System Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert for MediaOcean payables functionality, supporting process improvements and training where needed.
* Collaboration: Work closely with media planning, buying, and finance teams to ensure smooth workflow and accurate financial data.
* Assist with AP side of Cashflow preparation.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
* Proven experience using MediaOcean (Prisma or similar modules) for media payables.
* Strong understanding of media buying processes and financial reconciliation.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication skills for vendor and internal stakeholder engagement.
* Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial system.
Preferred:
* Experience in advertising/media agency environment.
* Knowledge of VAT and international media billing practices.
