Responsibilities
* Interact & operate electrical & electronic systems within the Data Centre in a competent, effective and efficient manner (including Electrical isolations/operations). Consider business risk and energy use.
* Make recommendations for improvement and provide concise technical reports when required.
* Work closely with the Data Centre Day & Shift teams to ensure all Specialist Sub Contractors’ works align with approved SOPs, MOPs, PTW and client change requests.
* Provide backup as engineering relief/cover in the event of annual leave, training or other absences within the engineering and ICT teams. Assist with maintaining systems including air conditioning, DFUs, FCUs, AHUs, ACUs and other systems such as lighting control, emergency lighting, and motors; accurately report all completed work orders and record critical spares/stock items used.
* Collaborate with ICT engineers on rebooting servers, routers or other IT-related equipment; observe, describe & report on indicator lights or display information; physically move equipment; investigate power issues; cabling installation; repair and replacement of end connectors; cable patching; circuit acceptance testing and fault finding.
* Participate in weekly team and client meetings; engage in QHSE activities including hazard, near-miss & observation reporting, e-learning and Toolbox Talks.
* Evaluate and escalate potential risks with impact assessment and mitigation opportunities; contribute to continuous improvement of safe systems of work; ensure compliance with QHSE policy and procedures.
* Learn and understand the client’s permitting system; operate and, where required, administer the Permit to Work (PTW) processes & systems.

* Education (Essential): Recognised qualification to minimum City & Guilds level 2, BTEC, ONC or HNC in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
* Computer literacy with good IT & report writing skills; proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
* Education (Desirable): IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
* General Desirables: Understanding of CBRE RISE values; availability to work outside normal hours including weekends where required.
