Help us build modern, blended learning that really lands.
We’re looking for a Digital Learning Specialist to design high‑quality digital learning and lift capability across our Communications & Learning team. You’ll turn complex operational processes into clear, engaging experiences, then enable colleagues to support, maintain and apply those solutions so they scale reliably over time. If you love combining smart design with measurable performance outcomes, this is for you.
Job title
Digital Learning Specialist
Responsibilities
* Designing best‑in‑class digital learning — creating interactive modules, animations, scenario‑based activities, video explainers and structured webinars that meet accessibility and quality standards.
* Building blended pathways — advising on the right mix of digital, virtual, face‑to‑face and self‑led formats to meet learning needs and operational priorities.
* Partnering with SMEs and operations — capturing knowledge, aligning content to service requirements and keeping materials current with process and system changes.
* Uplifting team capability — sharing tools, methods and good practice so colleagues can confidently support, maintain and update digital learning assets.
* Driving continuous improvement — reviewing existing solutions, streamlining where needed, applying learner feedback and analytics, and maintaining robust version control.
* Supporting the full learning lifecycle — contributing to needs analysis and planning, integrating digital into programmes, and evidencing impact on performance.
What we’re looking for
* Proven digital/instructional design experience with strong skills in authoring tools, multimedia production and content creation.
* Learning science in practice — sound understanding of learning theory, learner‑centred design and modern, blended delivery approaches.
* Clear translator of complexity — able to interpret operational processes and turn them into structured, engaging digital learning.
* Confident collaborator and communicator — credible with SMEs and stakeholders; able to influence and build strong working relationships.
* Analytical and improvement‑minded — comfortable using feedback, usage data and performance indicators to evaluate and refine solutions.
* Coach at heart — keen to build capability in others (without formal line management), organised, and meticulous about version control and standards.
What’s in it for you?
* A competitive basic salary dependent on experience, ranging from £32,000 to £40,000
* 23 days’ holiday (rising to 27) with the opportunity to buy extra leave
* The opportunity to take a paid day out of the office, volunteering for our charity partners or a cause of your choice
* Auto-enrolment to our company pension, life assurance, a cycle2work scheme, 15 weeks’ fully paid maternity, adoption and shared parental leave, paternity pay of two weeks and plenty more
* Voluntary benefits designed to suit your lifestyle – from discounts on retail and socialising, to health & wellbeing, travel and technology
* Access to our Employee Network Groups, which represent every strand of diversity and allow colleagues to connect and learn from each other on an open, inclusive platform
