HMNB Clyde, Faslane, Helensburgh Job Summary The Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) is a part of the Ministry of Defence responsible for the procurement, in-service support, and disposal of the UK’s nuclear submarines. Our work is of unparalleled strategic importance nationally and internationally, ensuring the security of the UK’s continuous at-sea nuclear deterrent (CASD), and delivering some of the most technically complex programmes in defence. At least one of four nuclear-armed submarines, supported by smaller attack submarines, is on patrol at all times: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Job Description This is an exciting role as part of the DSMS (Director Submarine Services) Business Management Hub, to be at the forefront of setting up a new Hub in Clyde in conjunction with the DSMA (Director Submarine Acquisition) Hub. It is a wide ranging role which in addition to business management tasks, you will be required to lead in the area of Security in respect of site access and reporting of breaches. You will work with the Duty Holder and the Team Leaders to ensure and assure legal regulations and policy compliance within your area of responsibility. Provision of management of business services to delivery teams. Working with a range of stakeholders across DSMS & DSMA Directorates and other internal and external agencies. Provision of support to ensure effective business management services at the Clyde site. Supporting ad hoc tasks on a day to day basis, this will include but is not limited to simple IT queries, issuing site passes, processing stationery requests, ordering resources and general office management requests such as desk and room bookings. It is anticipated that this role may require regular travel to other SDA sites when required. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
