The Role
We are seeking an experienced EC&I Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical and control packages across large-scale turnkey material handling and industrial projects.
You will take ownership of projects from planning and design coordination through installation, commissioning and final handover. This role involves managing electrical subcontractors, coordinating with mechanical and civils teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
The role is hybrid and Coventry-based, with regular travel to project sites and customer locations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of EC&I packages for bulk material handling and heavy industrial projects
*
Coordinate electrical works delivered through a mix of direct labour and subcontractor packages
*
Manage design integration between electrical, mechanical and civil disciplines
*
Challenge technical solutions to ensure safety, buildability, cost efficiency and energy performance
*
Oversee procurement, logistics and site coordination for electrical scope
*
Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
*
Track project progress against programme and implement recovery plans where required
*
Manage project budgets, variations and commercial risk
*
Ensure strong health and safety performance across all site activities, including energisation procedures
*
Coordinate commissioning activities and support system integration through to final handover
*
Chair client and stakeholder meetings and provide clear reporting on progress, risks and actions
*
Capture lessons learned to improve future project delivery and engineering standards
Requirements
*
Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or similar, or equivalent industry experience
*
Strong experience delivering electrical or EC&I projects within industrial environments
*
Good working knowledge of electrical distribution, automation and commissioning processes
*
Proven ability to manage multiple project packages, disciplines and interfaces
*
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, contracts and project changes
*
Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing subcontractors and client stakeholders
*
Experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning and reporting tools
*
Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK
Desirable Skills
*
Experience within quarrying, aggregates, bulk material handling or heavy industrial environments
*
Experience coordinating electrical works alongside mechanical installation and follow-on trades
*
Familiarity with recognised project management methodologies
*
Electrical design and build project background
*
SMSTS or SSSTS certification
*
IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification
*
NVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Site Management, Project Management or related discipline
*
APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management certification
*
CDM awareness or formal CDM training
