Harte Recruitment are working with a well-established and highly regarded property firm based in West Yorkshire, known for its professional standards and stability in the regional market. They are seeking an Assistant Block Manager to join their structured, supportive team in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone organised, dependable, and looking to build a long-term career in property management.
Candidates with experience in lettings or residential property management are welcome. Full training and ongoing support will be provided for this Assistant Block Manager role.
The Package:
* Basic salary up to £30,000 per annum (inclusive of car allowance)
* Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
* Paid mileage at 45p per mile
* Extra annual leave given during Christmas period (discretionary)
The Assistant Block Manager Role:
* Support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in day-to-day management of a property portfolio
* Manage all matters related to common parts of blocks of flats and residential properties with shared grounds
* Oversee repairs and maintenance and ensure health and safety compliance and update records
* Manage service charge budgets and communal expenditure with accounts team
* Oversee major projects and Section 20 notices
* Act as primary contact for concierges, contractors, and leaseholders
* Conduct site visits and deliver proactive management
* Manage cyclical and planned maintenance programs
* Occasional requirement to attend evening meetings/AGMs
The Person:
* Prior Block Management experience preferred, but general Lettings and Property Management or Facilities Management experience will be considered
* Excellent at multitasking, adapting quickly and problem-solving
* Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team environment (including at SLT level)
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Full driving licence and own car (essential)
