The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for an Air Quality & Climate Consultant due to an increasing climate-focused pipeline. You will join our growing Air Quality and Climate team, working on large-scale projects such as climate risk assessments, adaptation plans, and air quality permitting.
This permanent role offers the chance to diversify into climate-related work, with flexible hybrid work options across multiple UK locations.
The Role
You will support project delivery, contribute to technical reports, and mentor junior staff. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing reports, designs, and calculations for environmental projects
* Conducting air quality assessments and supporting permit applications
* Carrying out climate risk assessments and developing resilience strategies
* Supporting business development and bid writing
What You Will Do:
Air Quality:
* Support qualitative and quantitative assessments following industry guidance
* Develop and check dispersion models (ADMS)
* Assist with permit applications and compliance
Climate:
* Perform climate risk assessments using UKCP18 and GIS tools
* Develop climate resilience strategies
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions
Business Development:
* Support growth initiatives and proposals
* Stay updated on environmental policies and technology
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in science or engineering; advanced degree preferred
* Membership or working towards IAQM and/or IEMA
* Knowledge of UK/EU environmental legislation
* Experience with EIAs, permitting, climate data, and modeling tools
* Strong communication and project management skills
* Collaborative and innovative mindset
