Job Overview
The Sales & Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for various projects within the sales department. This role requires a detailed and organized individual to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Job Responsibilities
Special Projects Coordination
* Participate in sales team and special projects meetings, engaging in discussions and attending relevant training sessions.
* Manage the department's social media strategy, content, and calendar, curating relevant and engaging content for the sales team.
* Contribute ideas to enhance community engagement and brainstorm initiatives for the station, including research and production of innovative community outreach ideas such as sponsorships, packages, and giveaways.
* Create graphic designs for digital advertisements, sell sheets, and marketing/media kits.
* Plan, manage, and sell all giveaways, including coordinating with Legal to draft contest rules, setting up contest webpages, selling sponsorships, designing promotions, and communicating with contestants and winners.
Sales Coordinator
* Assist in building sales packages and materials, with oversight and training.
* Complete all sales administrative tasks, including order entry, proposals, traffic instructions, postings, and makegoods.
* Prepare and execute business requirements such as forecast reports, pending business updates, written orders, and advertising copy within deadlines.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of rates, promotions, inventory, and personnel; stay updated on trends in digital and broadcast advertising.
* Work cooperatively with colleagues, clients, vendors, and the public to build strong relationships.
* Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record (driver’s license will be verified).
* Experience in marketing, promotions, or social media preferred.
* Proficiency with O365 and Microsoft Office programs.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
* Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits
