We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of Textiles to join our successful Design & Technology department at a secondary school in Preston, starting 23rd February 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to delivering engaging, high‑quality lessons and inspiring pupils to develop practical skills, creativity, and confidence within Textiles.
The Role
* Teaching Textiles across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
* Planning and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress
* Contributing positively to the wider Design & Technology department
* Maintaining a safe, well‑organised, and inspiring classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
* Have experience teaching Textiles in a UK secondary school setting
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design & Technology
* Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
* Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and a strong team player

Contract: Temporary
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
