Electric Vehicle Connectivity Business Manager - Bracknell, Berkshire (3 days a week on-site)

to £400 per day (inside IR35 via Umbrella company) - 12 month+ contract

A new and exciting opportunity to assist a global Automotive brand in the implementation of a critical project to deliver the next generation of Electric Vehicle - EV Connected Services.

Ideally, a commercially astute business manager with experience in managing projects, involvement in tenders, strong communication and presentation skills, and ideally direct experience of connected services and automotive sectors.

The role holder will need to blend their skills in project management, sales/business development, and product management into a cohesive strategy that can meet our client's ambitious targets in this area.

Experienced required:

* Knowledge of the Automotive industry
* Product knowledge of the EV market and Connected Services
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Self-starter, able to understand business priorities and act accordingly in a timely manner, with little supervision
* Project management skills, including experience of successfully delivering digital projects on time and within budget
* Confident in research, capable of selecting appropriate methods to fill gaps in consumer and competitor knowledge

Good working knowledge of the following:

* Digital Marketing and customer communication strategies
* Tender processes and supplier management

Distributor Project

* Lead preparation for distributor markets, working closely with the distributor team and the distributors themselves:
* - Confirm feature list/scope for each market
* - Adjust distributor contracts as needed
* - Manage distributor customer first-line support
* - Oversee subscription management, payment processes, and VAT registration

eMSP Project

* Lead collaboration with suppliers to deliver plug-and-charge capability and other eMSP functionalities
* Manage eMSP supplier selection and contracting
* Serve as product owner for white-label app implementation
* Develop business cases and commercial proposals
* Implement functionalities such as payment by phone and charging station information via API with a supplier

Project management

* Develop clear business requirements
* Support colleagues and suppliers in achieving efficient solutions
* Engage and garner support from stakeholders across the business, including senior management, the Customer Division (Aftersales), regional branches, and the New Business Department
* Oversee project milestones, ensuring deadlines are met and projects stay on track
* Identify project risks proactively, develop mitigation strategies, and keep stakeholders informed
* Work with systems ISD to manage project budgets, ensuring scope adherence and early identification of cost overruns
* Address and resolve roadblocks or conflicts within projects
* Support regional User Acceptance Testing

Supplier & contract management

* Manage suppliers responsible for developing eMSP services, data provision, or related connected services
