Business Analyst (SC Cleared) - Contract Location: Hybrid - Glasgow or Aberdeen Contract Length: 3 months initial (view to extend) Rate: £475-£500 per day IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required We're looking for experienced Business Analysts to support a critical programme within the energy sector, focused on operational and transmission network initiatives. This is an immediate requirement for proactive, delivery-focused BAs who are comfortable operating in complex environments, engaging directly with senior stakeholders, and driving outcomes across business and technical teams. The Role You'll act as the bridge between operational delivery teams and wider business strategy. The role will involve gathering requirements, mapping operational workflows, supporting outage management processes, and ensuring technical solutions align with broader organisational objectives. This is a fast-paced environment requiring individuals who can work independently, challenge constructively, and quickly build credibility with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Leading stakeholder engagement sessions and facilitating workshops with senior leadership Gathering and documenting business and system requirements Mapping As-Is and To-Be processes using BPMN and other modelling techniques Supporting outage management processes across the full lifecycle Translating operational and technical utility concepts into structured business requirements Identifying opportunities for optimisation, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction Working closely with operational and technical teams to support delivery initiatives Essential Experience Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to operate independently in fast-moving environments Active SC Clearance (mandatory) What they're looking for Self-starters who can add value quickly Strong communicators comfortable engaging senior stakeholders Delivery-focused Business Analysts with a pragmatic mindset Individuals who can challenge positively and navigate ambiguity effectively
