Due to development and growth of business over the past months, our client is seeking an additional member for their Ocean freight Import customer services team to work at their Basildon office. The role would suit an enthusiastic candidate with good customer service skills. This is a great opportunity for someone to grow and develop with the company.
Duties will include:
* Provide a high level of customer service with clients, building relationships with them on a long term basis.
* Support existing customer service team, quoting new customers and repeat business and understanding the different approaches required to obtain rates.
* Follow up quotes provide support to new customers.
* Liaising with Ops teams on China bookings to ensure all client requirements are noted for internal files.
* Weekly reporting for nominated key accounts
* Account handling for key accounts, answering queries and eventually attending client meetings.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9/5pm
Requirements
Experience required:
* Prior experience of Freight Forwarding / Shipping ideally within Imports from the Far East.
* Good level of computer literacy, a good understanding of excel would be advantageous.
* Team player
* Self-motivated with willingness to take responsibility & organisational skills
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* Ambition and desire to progress within the business
