We now seek a highly motivated Programme Manager to coordinate on-going initiatives and to help shape the next stage of our development. The opportunity As Programme Manager, you will work closely with the Co Chairs and Steering Committee to develop and implement a bold research and collaboration strategy for the IRC. You will build partnerships within and beyond the University, foster cross disciplinary collaborations, and help position Cambridge Reproduction as a leader in research, policy engagement and impact. You will play a central role in supporting researchers to develop new projects; developing external relationships with funders, policymakers and partner organisations; and ensuring the effective governance, operations and long term sustainability of the IRC. You will oversee communications, events and networking programmes, as well as developing interdisciplinary training opportunities for early career researchers and coordinating Cambridge Reproduction's research theme framework. As the main 'connector' in Cambridge Reproduction, you will use your knowledge of the network and your exceptional relationship-building skills to contribute ideas for innovative events and activities, new collaborations, opportunities for growth and better ways of working. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders, thrives on strategic and creative thinking, is curious about reproduction in the widest sense, is passionate about making connections across disciplines, and who wants to shape a rapily expanding interdisciplinary initiative with national and international reach. About you Your experience may come from higher education, industry or civil society. What matters most is that you will also have: an interest in, and curiosity about, the diverse communities served by Cambridge Reproduction, and a willingness to promote connections across disciplinary boundaries; exceptional relationship building and communication skills, including the ability to liaise credibly with academics, funders and policy partners; strong writing and oracy skills for varied audiences, including the ability to present complex data and projects clearly in written documents and oral presentations; a track record of delivering complex projects to deadlines; confidence in managing multiple projects and competing priorities independently; excellent programme management and organisational skills, including financial management; experience in writing compelling funding applications and securing funding; a good first degree, or equivalent qualification, and an understanding of the academic research environment. Some evening/weekend working for essential events and a willingness to travel within the UK occasionally are required. Knowledge and understanding of reproduction-related research, policy and practice is desirable but not essential. This position is offered on a full-time basis, although we also welcome applications from individuals who wish to be considered for part-time working (minimum 28 hours per week).
