Job Opportunity: Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry Location: North West England Salary: Competitive Hours: Full-Time Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist. The role focuses on community-based care, with no inpatient responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care in a community setting. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the MDT in providing high-quality psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients. Ensure the delivery of a 24/7 service, providing psychiatric care and support to individuals in crisis within the community. Liaise with primary care providers, social services, and other external agencies to coordinate care and support for patients. Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) activities, including attendance at relevant conferences, seminars, and training sessions. Opportunities are available to become a Clinical or Educational Supervisor, and there is strong support for pursuing special interests or development areas within the Trust. Qualifications: Full GMC registration with a licence to practice. On the GMC Specialist Register, or within 3 months of completion. Section 12(2) MHA approval or close to completion.
