Your new companyOur client, an established and multi-accredited contractor operating across a multitude of different industries, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office with hybrid and flexible working.
Your new roleAs Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans and forecasts
* Conducting cost analysis and value engineering to ensure cost efficiency
* Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract administration
* Monitoring project progress and preparing monthly valuations and cost reports
* Assessing and valuing variations, change orders and claims
* Liaising with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure commercial success
* Supporting the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:
* Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering industry, ideally within the water and/or highways sectors
* Strong working knowledge of NEC3 form of contract
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence.
