Job Description
Futures is looking to appoint a commercially aware Sales Engineer to join a busy and fast-paced Tendering / Sales Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment, enjoys coordinating across technical and commercial stakeholders, and has a strong eye for detail. You will play a pivotal role in managing and assessing customer Requests for Quotation, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive responses that support business growth.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Sales Engineer, you will act as the central coordinator within the tendering process. Your primary responsibility will be managing a high-volume mailbox and ensuring all request for quotations are reviewed, assessed, and progressed efficiently.
* Evaluate all inputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, and commercial viability
* Prepare and issue “quick hit” quotations where applicable
* Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
* Review RFQs received from customers via Regional Sales Managers (RSMs)
* Coordinate internally with the Technical Team to manage design returns
* Manage and assess supplier quotation returns
* Ensure all quotations are returned to customers in a timely and professional manner
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience in a Sales Engineering, Tendering, or Technical Sales environment
* Strong understanding of RFQ and quotation processes
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of information
* High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
* Ability to coordinate across sales, technical, and supplier functions
