Front of House Catering SupervisorShell Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 7NA£15.30 per hour40 hours per weekMonday to Friday primarily 07:00-15:30, with flexibility for afternoon and events coverUse of free gym and free meals onsiteJob IntroductionWe are seeking a motivated Front of House Catering Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our FOH department.You will manage food service assistants and agency staff, ensure high standards in food presentation and customer service, and support the FOH Manager in delivering an exceptional catering experience. This role combines leadership, organisation, and hands-on operational expertise.What you'll do:Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise FOH operations, including preparation, service, stock management, and menu planningLead, motivate, and manage Food Service Assistants and temporary staffSupport FOH Manager in service delivery, events, and operational initiativesEnsure full compliance with Sodexo policies, statutory regulations, H&S, and food hygiene standardsBuild and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term partnershipsRecruit, induct, train, and develop team members; manage performance issues when necessarySchedule staff in line with contract requirementsDrive additional revenue in catering areasMaintain accurate accountancy, administrative, and documentation proceduresConduct risk assessments and maintain compliance recordsDeliver inductions, performance reviews, coaching, and team briefingsMonitor stock rotation, usage, and accuracy of stock countsMaintain high standards of appearance, hygiene, and presentationAttend meetings and training sessions as requested, and deputise for the FOH Manager when requiredSupport other sites as neededKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Achieve company standard audits consistentlyDeliver consistent quality, service, and presentation across all food service areasManage and develop team members effectivelyFull compliance with company processes and statutory regulationsPositive client and customer feedbackMaintain a motivated and high-performing teamSkills and ExperienceEssentialProven experience in catering, food service, or hospitalityKnowledge of catering trends and innovationsSupervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate staffStrong communication and interpersonal skillsComputer literacy and understanding of budget managementExperience working in a compliance-driven environmentDesirableBasic Food Hygiene certificateExperience delivering trainingFinancial awareness and budgetary managementLeadership, coaching, and team development skillsWhy Sodexo?:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.Belong in a company and team that values you for you.
