EXCITING OPPORTUNITY IN THESPECIALITY NURSING of 'OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH'*
This is an exciting career opportunity for a motivated registered nurseto join our newly formed occupational health team. This opportunity is open tothe right candidate who is established and experienced in occupational health.
We are proactive Primary Care Network and primarily wish to support ourGP Practice colleagues in the Derbyshire Dales and across the county byoffering a close and supportive occupational health provision that delivers a high-qualityservice to the staff members working in GP settings and where applicable to externalbodies contracted to support local health care.
Main duties of the job
This job role is suited for a Registered Nurse who has experience inOccupational Health.
You will have a positive attitude towards the health and wellbeing ofthose attending or contacting Occupational Health for support and advice.
You need to be confident working both autonomously and as part of thewider team and will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills,liaising with staff, managers, GP Practices, and other stakeholders.
The role will require working over cross sites.

DDPCNis an evolving, developing, and close knit PCN.
Ourethos is to consistently maximise the support for one another within the PCNteam and that of all the GP Practice colleagues and patients within thelocalities of the Derbyshire Dales.
Thisis achieved via a working in partnership approach underpinned by a 'can do'mentality.
Theprincipal office location is at the Grade 2 listed Scholes Mill, Tansley nearMatlock.
Weare surrounded by and work daily in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales which isa magnet for tourism.
Thereis ample on-site parking, and the town of Matlock is a 5-minute drive away.
Asour Occupational Health Nurse you will become embedded and be considered partof the team from day one.
TheDDPCN Management Team is a small group led by a dedicated Clinical Director.
ThePCN supports 7 main Practices and their branch sites. This is from the villageof Hope in the Derwent Valley, across the dales areas of Baslow, Eyam,Bakewell, Tideswell, Darley Dale, Matlock, Ashover and Youlgreave.
Thesalary and annual leave package are generous.
Startingpay will be experienced based and will be agreed with the successful candidateahead of joining DDPCN.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Demonstrate a wide range of OH experience
2. Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
3. Good numeracy and literacy skills with an ability to write detailed reports.
4. Right to Work in the UK
5. Full UK Drivers License
6. Occupational Experience
7. Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team with an emphasis on OH matters.
8. Experienced in health promotion activities including.
9. Health Surveillance
10. Display Screen Equipment assessments.
11. Health Screening
12. Pre-employment assessments
13. Exit medicals.
14. Sickness absence management advice
15. Take referrals from managers and HR, engage with the employee and return a written management report within an agreed time frame.
16. Offer face to face appointments or telephone assessments dependent on each individual case.
17. Give specific return to work advice, which would include, timescales, adjusted duties, phased return to work schedules with an inclusive knowledge around the Equality Act.
18. General health advice for employees at work to support and maintain their attendance at work.
Desirable
19. Knowledge of clinical systems namely Systm1 and EMIS.
20. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
21. Audiometry (hearing tests).
22. Spirometry (lung function testing).
23. Experience of working in the NHS
24. Venepuncture/vaccination skills
25. Occupational Health processes linking into Public Health experience.
