Category Manager – FMCG | Hertfordshire | Hybrid

The Role:
Reporting into the Category Development Director, you’ll be the go-to person for all things category – turning insight into action and helping commercial, marketing, and NPD teams make smarter, more effective decisions.
* Own and develop the category strategy for key retail accounts
* Build strong, strategic relationships with retailers – becoming their trusted advisor
* Deliver clear, compelling insight across range, pricing, promotions, and shopper behaviour
* Play a key role in NPD planning, product launches, and range reviews
* Track and respond to category trends, competitor moves, and consumer behaviour
* Support internal teams with data-led recommendations and presentations
What You’ll Bring:
* Solid experience in Category Management within FMCG
* Confidence working with major UK grocery retailers
* A sharp analytical brain – comfortable with Nielsen, Kantar, IRI, and Excel
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* The ability to work proactively, independently, and cross-functionally
* A curious, commercial mindset – someone who likes asking "what if?"
