Overview
EHN Caseworker. Grade 9, £35,412 - £39,152 pro rata. Permanent, Full time, Term time plus 2 weeks. Required to start as soon as possible.
We are seeking to appoint to the Education Health Needs team, part of the Woodlands School, an EHN Caseworker Grade 9 Term time + 2 weeks. The postholder will support a cluster of schools mainly in one geographical area but may cover/move to other areas if needed. The post holder will be based in The Pines at Sacriston and work across the county supporting schools with pupils with identified health needs that prevent attendance at school. The postholder assesses need and identifies an appropriate pathway of support. The caseworker chairs regular review meetings in school to discuss pupil progress. Contributing to the single assessment process is required and attendance at TAF meetings. The caseload includes a significant number of KS4 pupils whose reluctance to attend is driven by identified anxiety.
Responsibilities
* Support a cluster of schools across a geographical area and be flexible to cover other areas if needed.
* Based in The Pines at Sacriston and work across the county to support pupils with identified health needs affecting attendance.
* Assess need and identify an appropriate pathway of support.
* Chair regular review meetings in school to discuss pupil progress.
* Contribute to the single assessment process and attend TAF meetings.
* Manage a caseload including KS4 pupils where anxiety impacts attendance.
* Support pupils’ reintegration to school and work with outreach teachers, parents/carers and mainstream staff; provide constructive challenge where needed.
* Contribute to a reintegration package of support ensuring full access to the curriculum.
Requirements and Expectations

* Communication: ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
Terms and Pay
Term time only plus two additional weeks’ pay is calculated as follows: 38 teaching weeks; 1.6 weeks for public holidays; 2 weeks for CPD; 5.4 or 6.4 weeks annual leave depending on service length. Examples are provided in the original posting.
