The Role Norton Motorcycles are seeking a Graduate who is eager kick-start their career in the Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will learn and support activities such as time studies, material flow analysis, layout planning, and productivity improvement. Duties/Responsibilities Conduct time studies to analyse production processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to optimise work methods and reduce cycle time Perform MSE (Method Study and Work Measurement) activities to establish standard times for operations, ensuring alignment with production goals and efficiency standards Analyse material flow through the production process, identifying bottlenecks, delays, and areas of excess inventory, and recommending solutions for improvement Lead layout optimisation efforts by evaluating and redesigning the facility layout to enhance product flow, minimise handling time, and reduce waste Support flow optimisation initiatives, ensuring the smooth movement of materials, products, and information throughout the manufacturing process Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement productivity improvement measures, driving continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies Conduct root cause analysis of inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve process flow, reduce downtime, and increase throughput Monitor production performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to management to improve productivity and operational efficiency Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support process consistency and adherence to quality standards Implement ergonomic solutions to improve worker efficiency and safety while reducing strain and injury risks in manual operations Support the development and implementation of process control systems to monitor and adjust production processes for optimal performance Provide support in project management for new product introductions, ensuring that process improvements are integrated into new production lines Assist in the analysis and design of new product/process flows to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and scalable operations Evaluate equipment and tool effectiveness, recommending upgrades or modifications to improve operational performance Key Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in related field (Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering) - Essential Excellent time management skills Clear communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work effectively as part of a team Rewards of working for Norton: We like to take care of our Nortoneers and we think we offer some pretty decent rewards.
