As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the UK sales team; responsible for managing critical accounts, winning new business, and ensuring this business continues to be the partner of choice in polymers, plastics, and advanced materials.
The Role:
* Drive profitable revenue and margin growth through strategic account management and new business development.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
* Leverage tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, and SAP to forecast, track, and deliver on sales targets.
* Collaborate with marketing and channel partners to expand reach and capture new opportunities.
* Apply a customer-centric approach, offering tailored solutions to complex technical and commercial challenges.
* Represent the business at trade shows, conferences, and promotional events.
The Person:
We are seeking a commercially astute, technically confident, and customer-focused professional who thrives on growth and results.
* Degree in Chemical/Polymer Engineering, Business, or related discipline (preferred).
* 7+ years’ experience in polymers, technical sales, or distribution.
* Proven track record in account management and new business development.
* Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Comfortable working independently, with excellent CRM discipline (Salesforce experience desirable).
* Willingness to travel extensively across Northern UK (up to 60%)
