Quality Engineer – Structural Airframe Components
BUOYANCY AEROSPACE was founded in 2022 to meet the rising demand for solutions in aerospace, space, and defense, markets underserved by a dysfunctional supply chain. With active production facilities in the UK and Germany and a growing workforce of currently >150 employees, we are scaling rapidly while already delivering to our customers.
We are seeking a Quality Engineer for the structural airframe components section of BUOYANCY AEROSPACE Ltd, UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely under the direction of the Quality Manager.
* Communicate quality issues with customers and suppliers.
* Prepare First Article Inspection reports.
* Lead or support RCCA activities and the NCR process dealing with non‑conforming products while implementing robust corrective actions.
* Generate, implement, and maintain procedures, processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
* Review and manage customer specifications.
* Manage the calibration system.
* Conduct internal audits.
* Support customer and regulatory audits.
* Support reporting of KPIs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* AS9100 internal auditor certification.
* Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in the aerospace industry.
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements.
* IT literate.
* Self‑motivated and proactive.
