Maintenance Engineer – Multi-Skilled

Your new role
What you'll do::
1. Delivery of a comprehensive property and maintenance service to the QMU to the standards defined in the FM Agreement and SFG20.
2. Plan, prepare, organise, implement, direct and control work schedules carried out by subcontractors.
3. Support the Supervisor and Contract Manager with the Client and stakeholders to ensure positive and constructive working relationships, attending meetings as required.
4. To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work either independently, under the supervision of the Contract Manager or as assistant to a maintenance tradesman.
5. To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
6. To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports using the CAFM system, informing the Contract Manager or tradesmen of any follow up action that may be required.
7. Provide accurate monthly reports to the Client and RFM Management Team confirming compliance with the requirements of the contract and identifying issues for discussion, future workload, risks and opportunities.
8. Purchase Orders are raised accurately and that all variations are costed and agreed.
9. Ensure that all processes are designed and undertaken and audited in compliance with the following standards, ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and ISO50001, as well as additional Client requirements.
10. Manage both planned and reactive tasks though the CAFM system, ensuring that asset data
11. and requirements are accurate ensuring compliance with contract and legislative requirements.
What you'll need:
12. Maintenance experience working in Commercial buildings
13. Experience in A/C, Air Handling systems
14. Experience in HVAC control systems
15. Experience with BMS Control Systems
16. Managing both Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Building Management Control Systems (BMS)
17. Experienced in operation of CAFM system to accurately record maintenance activities and demonstrate compliance
18. Plan and deliver effective property maintenance systems.
19. Communicate effectively at a professional level with client representatives at all levels.
20. Follow procedures and processes to meet agreed company and legislative standards.
21. Full Uk Driving Licence
The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.
Who we’re looking for:
The post holder will work on their own initiative and as part of a team, alongside Client Representatives, with responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality property maintenance service to all facilities on site. They will form part of the wider In-house Maintenance Team with a designated core skill and will be expected to lead in this area but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence.
