Our client, a global leader in manufacturing and technology, is seeking an experienced Network Analyst and Support Engineer to join our European Network Services Team on an agency basis.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic, collaborative, and globally distributed team. You'll play a vital role in maintaining and supporting network services across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East (EAME) - and beyond when required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 2/3 remote network helpdesk support for our client's EAME-based facilities, including factories, offices, and warehouses.
Support LAN / WLAN / WAN infrastructure through incident resolution, change implementation, and request fulfilment.
Participate in small - scale LAN design projects and assist in delivering infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
Collaborate with a global team to ensure network standards and policies are upheld across all locations.
Contribute to network documentation, design updates, and process improvements.
Join a rotating on-call support schedule (1 week every 2 months), including out-of-hours support as needed.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience in network support and operations, ideally within a Cisco environment.
Cisco CCNA certification (required).
Proficiency in:
Cisco IOS upgrades and configuration
Cisco router/switch and WLC (Wireless LAN Controller) configuration
Network troubleshooting and diagnostics
Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and basic firewall principles
Network documentation and change management
Ticketing systems such as Remedy or Peregrine
Microsoft Office Suite, Putty, and other standard networking tools
Desirable:
Cisco certifications above CCNA (e.g., CCNP)
Exposure to project management methodologies
Experience with global/regional project participation
Knowledge of additional languages (English is required; a second language is a plus)
