It’s an exciting time to join us! RWE Supply & Trading has recently introduced a new cloud-based data analytics platform. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to expand our platform capabilities.
The Lead in Data (LiD) platform has revolutionized data searching, sharing, transforming, and onboarding within our organization. Data is vital for trading, analysis, and support functions, and will be increasingly important across the group.
You will apply your expertise in C# and .NET to build robust data services within the Mix system and help future-proof our architecture from security and technological perspectives. Experience with AWS environments is essential.

Your future responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable back-end services and APIs using C# and .NET 8
* Implement data extraction and transformation logic within .NET environments
* Utilize Python for data processing, automation, and application logic as needed
* Work on the Market Data API, enhancing features and liaising with business teams for new requirements
* Build processes and workflows supporting data transformation and handling various data types
* Create frameworks for onboarding data from different vendors and sources efficiently and self-servingly
* Join a global team of Data and DevOps Engineers to deliver platform features and improvements
* Work collaboratively to deliver value to users
* Independently solve technical problems with a proactive attitude
* Stay updated on trends in Data Analytics and explore new solutions
* Collaborate with IT functions, especially in Data (Market Data IT, Embedded IT, etc.)
* Own the technical design of new use cases and ETL jobs, ensuring robustness, performance, and maintainability
* Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for large, diverse datasets
* Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitLab
* Understand API creation processes
* Experience onboarding energy data from providers to internal platforms
* Hands-on experience with AWS services like S3, Lambda, and EC2
* Work with relational databases such as MS SQL
* Translate business requirements into technical designs and improve existing ones
* Ensure operational aspects like high availability, monitoring, security, and robustness
* Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
