Teaching Personnel are working closely with a lovely, small primary school in the Southport area who are looking to appoint a Reception Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. The role is to start from October half term and will initially be on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children in their early stages of learning.
About the role:
* Supporting pupils in Reception with day-to-day classroom activities
* Working alongside the class teacher to deliver a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum
* Helping to deliver phonics, early reading, and number activities
* Supporting children with social, emotional, and physical development
* Providing one-to-one and small group support where needed
The school are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience in an Early Years or primary school setting
* Is confident supporting children aged 4–5 years
* Has a kind, calm, and patient approach
* Can work well as part of a team and follow direction
* Holds a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential. Teaching Personnel provide a Level 2 Qualification upon completing an online course!
