One of the UK's leading construction groups operating across the UK. You will be joining their Highways and Infrastructure division.
Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate closely with your line manager to oversee themercial administration, reporting, and performance of either a single large project or multiple smaller schemes, in this case a major highway project.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure a safe working environment.
Prepare subcontract documentation, including the negotiation of terms and conditions, prices, and programme.
Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments of amounts due and subsequent change management.
Issue all requiredmercial notices to both the Client and Subcontractors in accordance with the contract.
Oversee and manage changes promptly in accordance with the contract, including the preparation and submission ofpensation Event Quotations.
Prepare, submit, and agree on monthly applications to the client in accordance with the contract.
Liaise with operational and engineering staff to ensure site records meet the required standards.
Prepare detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) as required by the business unit or project.
Maintain a detailed ‘Cost Plan,’ tracking and forecasting expenditure, including detailed schedules of Subcontractor ‘liabilities’ and utilising Oracle-based cost analyses
What you'll need to succeed
Experience on major highways projects.
Educational Background: Relevant degree and/or experience in amercial environment.
Professional Qualification: Ideally, an Incorporated member of MCIOB or MRICS, working towards full membership (Desirable).
Project Experience: Experience working on large single projects or multiple smaller schemes.
