Community Childrens Health Care Support Worker- Band 2

The post holder will work as part of our respite team that provides care to patients within the Community Childrens Nursing service across Gwent.
Job Summary
Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office's criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will always adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales (WAG 2011) and the NLIAH (2010) All Wales Guidelines for Delegation. The post holder is expected to work within clinical competencies with supporting base knowledge. They will have achieved and demonstrated all the competencies required to attain a level 2 healthcare qualification in line with the All-Wales Skills and Career Framework for Health Care Support Workers 2015. The post holder is expected to independently manage their own work/case load, undertaking tasks delegated by a registered practitioner with appropriate supervision in place. The post holder will demonstrate an understanding of evidence-based practice and deliver care in line with current evidence, taking responsibility for taking action relative to an individual's health and care in accordance with organisational policy and procedures. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
