Hospitality Supervisor Apprentice (Level 3)
This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months (duration of the apprenticeship).
Apprenticeship pay rates depend on age. Please see below for the applicable rates:
* Under 18 years - £15,144 per annum
* 18-20 years - £19,871 per annum
* 21+ years - £23,555 per annum
We are seeking a Hospitality Supervisor Apprentice to work closely with the Restaurant & Commercial Events Manager. The role involves managing the student cafe service to a high standard, assisting in food and snack preparation, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant areas.
What You Will Do
* Assist the Restaurant & Commercial Events Manager in the efficient operation of the catering service, adhering to service standards and financial regulations.
* Coordinate the team to meet customer needs in line with business standards, enhancing their experience.
* Assist in training and supervising catering staff and student casuals.
* Monitor team compliance with processes and procedures.
* Provide helpful customer service, gain knowledge of food items, and keep service areas clean and stocked.
* Support the operation of bars and catering for events and functions.
* Use EPOS tills, including cash handling.
* Ensure food safety standards are maintained and records are accurately completed.
About You
* Up-to-date knowledge of catering and hospitality.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment and supervisory experience in bar or catering.
* Ability to organise and oversee team work.
* Knowledge of food hygiene systems and record-keeping.
* Experience using tills and handling cash and credit cards.
* Initiative to upsell products.
* Effective communication skills with team members and customers.
