The Role
An established engineering and manufacturing business is looking for a Electrical Design Engineer to take an active role in the design and enhancement of a diverse product range. This is a hands-on position that blends creative problem-solving with solid technical knowledge to develop practical, high-quality, and production-ready solutions.
You’ll collaborate closely with production, procurement, and commercial teams to deliver reliable and efficient designs that meet industry standards and performance requirements. The position also involves 3D modelling, prototyping, and testing, as well as supporting product launches and maintaining technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and improve products using 2D/3D CAD tools.
2. Produce accurate design calculations, bills of materials, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
3. Review and refine existing designs to enhance performance and reduce costs.
4. Prepare and maintain technical files, manuals, and assembly documentation.
5. Plan and coordinate engineering tasks to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
7. Work cross-functionally with commercial teams to assess new product opportunities and technical feasibility.
