🔥 What You’ll Be Doing
8. Leading fire strategy and building control assessments for complex, high‑risk and high‑value new build and conversion projects
9. Using specialist software to assess Qualitative Design Reviews (QDRs), fire strategies and CFD modelling
10. Working closely with developers, builders and professional advisors from concept to completion to ensure proposals meet all relevant regulations and standards
11. Delivering technical presentations to internal and external audiences
12. Supporting the training, coaching and mentoring of colleagues
13. Managing your own workload to meet service level expectations
14. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements
🔍 What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an expert Fire Engineer, ideally with (or working towards) membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers.
You will have:
15. Deep knowledge of fire engineering, particularly smoke control solutions
16. Strong familiarity with Smoke Control Association guidance and relevant British Standards
17. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
18. A proactive, self‑motivated approach and a willingness to contribute to the development of the role
19. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
