This Planner position offers the opportunity to support housing repairs across the Cambridge patch, based out of the Hitchin office, helping to deliver a high-quality and customer-focused maintenance service.
The role is offered on a short-term temporary contract, providing immediate work within a supportive team environment.
Youll be responsible for scheduling repairs, managing appointments, and acting as a key point of contact for residents and operatives.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career as a Planner, or for an experienced Planner who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Wed love to hear from anyone with a background as a Planner, Repairs Scheduler, Maintenance Coordinator, Administrator, or Customer Service Advisor, particularly within Social Housing, property services, or a similar environment.
As a Planner, you will be: Scheduling responsive maintenance works for operatives Managing diaries and booking repair appointments efficiently Communicating with residents to confirm appointments and provide updates Liaising with operatives, contractors, and internal teams Updating internal systems with accurate job and appointment details Supporting the wider team with administrative and coordination tasks Id love to speak to any Planner who has: Strong customer service experience, ideally within a housing or repairs environment Confidence speaking on the phone and dealing with residents Good organisational and communication skills Previous experience in planning, scheduling, or administration (desirable but not essential) The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Key requirements for this Planner role: Strong IT skills and the ability to update internal systems accurately A reliable and proactive approach to work Ability to work in an office-based environment in Hitchin A positive and team-focused attitude The role is offering the following benefits: Competitive hourly rate (£18.37 per hour) Short-term temporary contract with immediate start available Opportunity to gain experience within a Social Housing environment Supportive and collaborative team environment Valuable experience within a busy repairs and maintenance team Travel & Location This Planner role is based in Hitchin, supporting housing repairs across the Cambridge area.
