Accounting for Good CIC is here to support purpose-led organisations with accounting, advisory, learning, and wellbeing services that they can trust. We specialise in working with charities, CICs, and social enterprises, as well as business owners with accessibility differences. We are looking for a reliable, analytical, and knowledgeable Bookkeeper to help our clients maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Your Role
* Processing invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software
* Preparation of VAT returns
* Preparation of payroll, HMRC, and pension submissions
* Balance sheet reconciliation
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
* Proficient in using Xero, QuickBooks, Free Agent and Microsoft Office suite
* A can-do attitude to work with the ability to be flexible in your approach
* The ability to communicate effectively and build good working relationships
* Dealing with client queries via Zoom, Teams, telephone and email
We're Looking for Someone Who…
· Has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within charities/CICs/social enterprises, although this is not essential
· Has experience working with people with disabilities or long-term health conditions
· Is highly organised, with attention to detail
· Understands project accounting and restricted and unrestricted funding
· Has strong communication skills, both in writing and face-to-face
· Enjoys working with people and wants to be part of a values-driven team

Pay: From £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 28 per week
