Role Introduction We are seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. The Privacy Legal Counsel will be responsible for ensuring that OneAdvanced complies with global privacy regulations, advising on data protection issues, and implementing best practices for data privacy and security. What You Will Do As Privacy Legal Counsel you will: Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with global privacy laws and regulations. Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies and procedures to ensure the protection of personal data across the organization. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with business operations, products, and services. Advisory Role: Provide expert legal advice to internal stakeholders on data privacy and protection issues, including product development, marketing, and customer relations. Training and Awareness: Conduct privacy training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of data protection. Incident Response: Lead and coordinate responses to data breaches and other privacy incidents, including notification and remediation efforts. Contract Review: Review and negotiate data processing agreements, vendor contracts, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with privacy requirements. Audit and Monitoring: Oversee privacy audits and assessments to evaluate compliance and identify areas for improvement. Liaison: Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities and represent OneAdvanced in discussions related to data privacy matters. What You Will Have As Privacy Legal Counsel, you will have: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in privacy law, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector, but this is not a must Certification: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar certification is highly desirable. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data privacy laws and regulations. Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting and review. Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and provide practical solutions to complex privacy issues.
