Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Field Gate School, Doncaster
We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join Field Gate School in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. You will work with an experienced team in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in decisions where possible.
Responsibilities
* Support teachers by assisting in the classrooms and in the community for children who cannot attend school.
* Follow a flexible structure to support our children and young people to unlock their passion for learning.
* Work within a Trauma-informed practice model to support and follow a therapeutic approach.
* Be based at our Ofsted-registered school and provide support in 1 ACE provision locally.
* Contribute to our mission in turning children’s lives around through child-centred, bespoke education packages.
* Engage with our leadership and training opportunities to support professional progression in the Education sector.
About the School and Approach
Field Gate School is a small independent SEMH school for pupils aged 6-18, registered to educate 30 children with a range of needs. We operate as a school without walls, encouraging child-centred, bespoke education packages and community involvement. We emphasise Flourish, Guidance, and Stability for our students.
Hours
Term Time, aligned with Doncaster local authority. Full-time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30. The role is full-time over five days per week.

Requirements
* Good written and IT skills
* Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers
* Able to actively listen to others
* Valid Driving Licence – this is essential for this role
* Right to Work in the UK
