Lead Electrical / Multiskilled Engineer – Rochester, Kent
Hours: Monday – Friday, Double Day Shift (Excellent Work‑Life Balance!)
Salary: £43,000 Basic (rapidly rising with training/skills) + Premium Overtime. Total earnings potential (OTE): £60,000+.
Responsibilities
* Act as the go‑to expert for all site electrical issues, providing fast, effective fault‑finding and repair across a complex industrial environment.
* Diagnose and repair industrial equipment, including 3‑phase motors, inverters, control circuits, compressors and various electrical systems.
* Provide electrical specialist support to the wider maintenance team and step in for any electrical duties across the site.
* Apply a proactive, can‑do attitude to ensure maximum plant uptime.
* Assist with mechanical and general maintenance tasks as needed to maintain smooth, continuous operation.
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering and knowledge of the 17th or 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
* Demonstrable, hands‑on experience working on heavy industrial machinery and plant equipment (e.g., FMCG, Heavy Plant, Production, or Automated Logistics).
* Team player who is supportive, flexible and hands‑on as part of a multi‑skilled maintenance team.
* Experience in domestic, commercial or facilities maintenance is not considered for this role.
* Candidists must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
