We are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team full-time, supporting pupils in SEMH settings across the Salford area.
About the Role:
As a SEMH TA, you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs. You will help create a positive, nurturing environment that promotes learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Assist in the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans
* Support pupils in managing emotions and developing social skills
* Liaise with teaching staff and SENCo to monitor pupil progress
* Contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in schools, SEN, or SEMH provisions
* A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH needs
* Ability to work full-time and commit to the role
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Patience, empathy and resilience
