Responsibilities: As a Configuration Lead, you will engage in diverse areas and establish project-wide awareness and implementation of Configuration Management arrangements. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the execution of the Overarching Configuration Management Plan, ensuring balanced application tailored to specific programme scopes. Defining, implementing, and improving Configuration Management arrangements—ranging from standards and procedures to tools—ensuring adequate configuration control is maintained. Overseeing the identification and recording of Configuration Items, establishing consistent approaches, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure configuration baselines are established. Administering the change control procedure to ensure configuration changes are registered, governed, and expedited effectively. Developing Configuration Status Reports that facilitate management decision-making and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring they meet timeline and quality expectations. Providing CM training to ensure programme participants understand their responsibilities, inter-relationships, and dependencies within CM and related activities. Participating in Engineering Data Management activities to specify CM requirements and ensure they are effectively delivered. Building and managing stakeholder relationships across the Technical Directorate, delivery programmes, and suppliers. Acting as a coach and mentor for CM Engineers and collaborating closely with engineering delivery teams to maintain and control the project dataset.
