We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate District Nurse to join our District Nursing service here in Falkirk. A District Nursing qualification (SPDN, Degree or Diploma) is essential for this post, as well relevant community nursing experiences. These are permanent band 6 posts x 3 as per agenda for change and the contracted hours available are from 29.6 hours up to 37 hours. Weekend working and variable shift pattern is required on a flexible rotational basis. The post holder will provide person-centred care to patients in their homes or other homely settings, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life. The post holder has responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical and staff governance, therefore it is essential that the post holder has experience in team leadership/management, as well as caseload management. It is desirable that you have some experience in leading/ managing a team and also in caseload management. You must have strong interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator, and demonstrate an ability to work with different professional groups. It is desirable that the successful candidate be able to demonstrate an interest in change management and quality improvement initiatives. You should also have a good awareness of national policies and a willingness to take an active lead in the implementation of these policies locally. When necessary, the post holder may be asked to cover additional caseload/caseloads within the locality.
