SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Brent, London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support Assistant) to work in mainstream primary schools across Brent, providing individualised support to a pupil with additional needs. This role focuses on supporting the learner to access the curriculum, reach their full potential, and develop socially and emotionally. The Role: • Work 1:1 with a pupil to support learning, social, and emotional development, particularly for those with special educational needs (SEN) • Provide SEN Teaching Assistant support and implement personalised strategies as directed by the teacher and SENCO • Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities • Assist with personal care or physical needs if required • Track progress and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCO • Promote independence, emotional regulation, and positive engagement What We’re Looking For: • Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN • Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Confident delivering differentiated support and SEN strategies • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What’s on Offer: • Friendly, supportive school environments across Brent • Opportunities for training and SEN-focused CPD • Potential for long-term progression • A rewarding role making a real difference every day
