We’re looking for an Assistant Service Manager to help make everyday remarkable for our friendly team in RCT. We are dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community.
What you’ll be doing
Park Place is a welcoming supported living service currently hosting three male individuals, with an adjoining annex ready to host a fourth. Your role will involve supporting up to four residents in everyday routines: personal care, medication, finances, household tasks and community engagement. You’ll promote independence, facilitate activities, assist with decision‑making and help residents achieve their personal goals.
Key responsibilities
* Support residents in personal care, medication management, finances and household tasks
* Facilitate participation in activities and community connections
* Encourage independence and confidence through decision‑making support
* Document care plans and maintain accurate records
* Provide cover and shift cover as required, including weekends and sleep‑ins
* Travel to meetings and training; transport residents to activities when needed
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
* Strong caring nature and commitment to empower people to reach their potential
* Knowledge of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
* Flexible schedule, including shift work and cover
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for transporting residents; business insurance covered by mileage reimbursement of 45p per mile

Hours and Salary
30 hours hands‑on, 7 hours hands‑off. Salary £29,071.64 pa. Sleep‑in shifts paid £60 per night. Travel expenses reimbursed at 45p per mile.
