We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design Office. You will own the design and development of mechanical components, tools, and jigs related to Gearbox, Hydraulic, and Exhaust systems, from initial layouts to detailed parts. You will also enhance design workflows and mentor junior engineers.
Lead the mechanical design process from concept to detailed design, ensuring innovative and high-performance solutions.
Ensure all parts comply with FIA Formula 1 Technical Regulations.
Contribute to developing lightweight, reliable, and aerodynamically efficient components.
Oversee reliability of designed parts in collaboration with relevant departments.
Stay updated with materials science, manufacturing technologies, and motorsport industry advancements.
Team and Technical Guidance
Act as the technical reference within your group for task guidance.
Mentor and support junior mechanical design engineers.
Review and approve final design releases as required.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the design function.
Professionalism and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Mechanical Design Team Leader and Deputy to align with project timelines and targets.
Collaborate with departments such as Aerodynamics, Concept, and Trackside Operations to ensure seamless integration of mechanical solutions.
Maintain strong communication with all internal departments.
Liaise with suppliers and external partners for materials and components.
Support race and track events from the Factory Operation Room as needed.
Maintain flexibility in attendance and attitude to work, aligned with role and project needs.

Qualifications and Experience
* University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related.
* Extensive experience in mechanical design, preferably in high-performance motorsport or F1.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
* Knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and structural analysis.
* Experience with moulds, patterns, and tooling design is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Innovative mindset with a proactive attitude.
* Team-oriented with a positive approach in a fast-paced environment.
