Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join the team. Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands. It is one of the UK's leading centres for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). We also offer private autism assessments for adults. Since North London first opened its doors in 1986, we have worked tirelessly to establish our excellent reputation as a specialist provider of mental health care.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
* Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
* Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
* Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
What you'll bring to the role

* A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.
* 6 to 12 months post-registration experience and completion of a preceptorship programme.
* Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional practices, with evidence of ongoing post-registration continuing professional development.
* A positive attitude, a commitment to change, improvement and quality, and the ability to develop and apply flexible, innovative approaches to practice.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supported by at least six months of post-registration experience within a mental health or learning disabilities care environment and evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field.
