This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work for one of the leading global real estate businesses. They are currently seeking an experienced FM Contract Manager to lead a highly successful team to manage the on-site Data Centre Operations team ensuring delivery of EXCELLENCE!
The suitable candidate would preferably come from a DC background; however, those with solid experience working within Critical Environments will also be considered. Applicants must have operated at management level previously, had full responsibility for their own P&L, and live within a reasonable commutable distance to sites.
Role Overview
* Leading an established Operations team to deliver excellence in a business-critical 24/7/365 operating environment for a key customer.
* Accountability for meeting or exceeding contracted SLA’s in this high availability environment in the delivery of Critical Engineering and Facilities Management services.
* Own and develop a professional relationship with the client to deliver positive customer outcomes.
* Build on that relationship to extend additional Data Centre Service capabilities within the account.
* Ensure rigorous adherence to all Quality, Health & Safety measures to guarantee the safety of the teams on site at all times.
* Use effective change control procedures to ensure all works are carried out to the required specifications, within time and budget, with all commercial agreements in place.
* Own the P&L for the site, providing monthly forecasts and delivering or exceeding those forecast plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure contractual commitments are met or exceeded through proactive leadership.
* Maintain a customer-focused approach in all operational activities.
* Identify opportunities for strategic development of the contract to increase turnover and profitability.
* Manage Maintenance & Engineering infrastructure.
* Lead all High Voltage related activities responsibly.
* Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to the team, promoting best practices in training, assessment, and recognition.
* Contribute to management and team meetings with effective communication.
* Govern the account proactively, ensuring Service Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews are in place.
* Escalate issues or incidents promptly to protect key customer relationships and inform Data Centre Services Leadership.
Person Specification
* Experience in critical and/or data centre environments in high availability sectors.
* Background in Maintenance & Engineering, facilities management, projects, or building services.
* Proven leadership in delivering service excellence and empowering teams within regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, including C-suite client relationships.
* Experience managing suppliers and third-party providers collaboratively.
* Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
* Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
* Excellent presentation skills tailored to the audience.
